Seasons: Winter
Silent footsteps Labels: seasons
On the white, white ground.
Filthy secrets
Hidden, deep
Within the crevices of your blackened soul.
The wind, it is strong
Violent, unpredictable
As it roars
In all its inherent fury.
Snowflakes, in all their bitter beauty
Frosty, indifferent
Crystalline shards of our broken hearts.
Your smile
It's jaded
Not unlike the quiet tales of seasons gone by
It's the ferocious end
Picturesque anger.
Your hands claw
Hopelessly
Against the glass of fate.
To return
To change what is, what was
To love again
To know
Summer's touch.
In a whirlwind of emotions
We are lost.
Winter has come
An enchantress, and a vicious lady.
She will bind you
She will bewitch you
She will love you
And you will fall.
And thus
With this one ending
Everything begins.
All over again
Silently
Inevitably
Through the grains of Time.
